In a seminar, speakers called upon youths to know the history and tradition of the country’s liberation war before working on game development to hit the local market.
On the second day of Basis Software, a seminar on Idea Workshop for Game Development was held. In the seminar Additional Secretary of ICT division (planning & Development) Shushanta Kumar Saha was the chief guest while A2i director (Innovation) Md. Mostafizur Rahman was the special guest.
The seminar was chaired by the founder president of Basis and IBCS-Primex Software (BD) Ltd. CEO A. Towhid. The keynote paper was presented by CEO of ITTI W Tanvir while the Basis director and Basis Software Expo convener Syed Almas Kabir moderated the seminar. In the seminar founder and CEO of Rise AP Labs Ershadul Haque, CEO of Massive Star SM Mahbubul Alom, Managing Director of Pias Solutions Mohammad Shahjalal, CEO of Game Over Zamilur Rashid and Dream 71 Bangladesh Ltd. Managing Director Rashad Kabir were the discussants.
Tanvir Ahmed, in his keynote speech, said that this workshop will be successful if new ideas come out. He advised the youth to know the history and tradition of Liberation Struggle to catch the local market of Game Development. Shushanta Kumar Saha called upon the youths to come forward in this sector for games development by utilizing smart phones. He also said the youths to be entrepreneurs for games Industry. He further told that it took much time to make understand that in our country there is big market of mobile games. Now many people understand it. Now the youth should enter in this market. First idea will have to be generated. Government will extend cooperation in this field.
Special guest in the seminar A2i director Md. Mostafizur Rahman said that many have addiction to games. But we are failing to capture the games market by utilizing the addiction. Without ascertaining demands we start to supply. There is research on it. So at the very beginning the demand is to be ascertained and research the market. It needs generation of ideas. To get ideas we are to cross the boundary. And this should be done keeping in conformity with our culture. Mentioning many games on our freedom struggle, he said that every game is freedom struggle and there no new addition. Probably our expectation is high. It needs quality goods supply and skill manpower.
In his address Md. Towhid said that the International market of games is very big. There is also demand in the domestic market. In the competition it needs timely preparation in the local market. We must have to be organized and firm. We should utilize this opportunity. I think that with competitive spirit we can occupy the local market. He assured all cooperation for games development on behalf of BASIS.
Almash Kabir said that for attaining success we should not follow others, rather our identity should be our own. Side by side it needs concentration and labor.
